Enterprise and diversity is the key to economic growth: a loud refrain heard from all quarters these days. But what does this mean, how do we marry the divergent world of theory, entrepreneurial practice and policy? This inaugural lecture addresses this question by extending our gaze behind the often mythical notion of academics, entrepreneurs and policy makers as incompatible bedfellows, isolated from each other’s practice. The focus of this lecture is to illuminate the emotional, political and messy realities of implementing enterprise and diversity and to explore why impact matters, which all too often remains either on the side lines or is presented as problematic within extant dialogue between academics, entrepreneurs and policy makers.
We look forward to seeing you at Professor Trehan’s Inaugural Lecture. As places are limited, please do book early. If we can be of any assistance, please do get in touch.
