This month Birmingham Business School is the host of two international conferences; the Comparative International Governmental Accounting Research conference and the European Trade Study Group conference.
Comparative International Governmental Accounting Research
Taking place from the 2nd to 4th September, the Comparative International Governmental Accounting Research (CIGAR) conference is a biennial event, with this being the 14th year of its staging. The conference consists of academics, practitioners and policy makers presenting papers covering all aspects of public sector accounting and related research in non-profit sector accounting. The conference will also consist of a PhD seminar for PhD students to present their papers or research proposals.

European Trade Study Group
The 15th annual conference of the European Trade Study Group (ETSG) takes place from 12th to 14th September. The ETSG conference hosts both theoretical and empirical contributions on any issue related to the economics of international trade. The conference is well known for its friendly and collaborative atmosphere.
