Birmingham Business School are delighted, once again, to host the EUREKA Challenge 2013. The EUREKA Challenge is for Year 12 students to encourage the acquisition and development of enterprise knowledge, skills and capability.
The Launch Event kicked off at the Business School on June 19 with Year 12 students from a number of schools across the UK in attendance.
Professor Cillian Ryan, Jean Monnet Chair in European Economics, Dean of Liberal Arts & Sciences and Deputy Head of the College of Social Sciences, welcomes students to the 2013 EUREKA Challenge
The students received background and details of the competition through special workshops on the challenge supported by WBDA and staff from the University of Birmingham Business School. The launch helps the students to understand the demands of the EUREKA Challenge; for example, ethics, presentation skills, team working, research and methodology. The launch is also an ideal opportunity for students to put questions to our panel of experts – which includes regional business leaders and entrepreneurs - and to clarify their thinking ahead of the assessment.
Good luck to all! We look forward to welcoming back all of the students in July to present their proposals.
