University of Birmingham Ranked 10th for Producing the Richest Graduates

The University of Birmingham has been ranked 10th in a rich list for producing the richest graduates and ranked number one for the most self-made millionaires, with Business School alumni and Manchester United chief executive David Gill being noted as one of the University’s wealthiest alumnus.

In the study by Wealth-X as part of the UK University UHNW Alumni Rankings Special Report 2013, the University of Birmingham had 68 alumni who could be described as of ultra-high net worth (UHNW) with an average net worth of £69million.

Out of the universities listed, the University of Birmingham came top for the highest percentage of self-made wealthy alumni, as opposed to inheriting wealth.
