New BSc Business Management with Marketing degree for 2015

We are delighted to announce that we are launching a new specialist undergraduate programme at Birmingham Business School for 2015.

We are offering a new BSc Business Management with Marketing programme.  This exciting new programme aims to develop the intellectual, analytical and perceptual skills of students by providing them with a breadth of knowledge in Marketing, together with the transferable skills that are necessary to be job ready, and also to carry out strategic marketing in new and challenging contexts.

The BSc Business Management with Marketing programme will enable students to establish a strong foundation in the area of business with an emphasis on Marketing through years two and three.

In particular this programme was developed with industry input and - as such - places great importance on students acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the world of marketing. Students enrolled in the programme will be required to undertake modules in Principles of Marketing, Marketing Management, Consumer Behaviour, Marketing Research, Services and Relationship Marketing and Marketing Analytics. Each of these is attuned to the necessary skills of the modern day marketer. In addition to these modules, students may specialise in other key areas of marketing to suit their interests.

Further to this, students’ on this programme will benefit from Birmingham Business School’s strong links with practitioners from large and small marketing firms such as Unilever, Beiersdorf, Big Cat, UBAglu and Cogent Elliott. The underlying philosophy of the programme therefore is that students study all aspects of Business Management and develop a speciality in Marketing to equip them with contemporary marketing knowledge to enable them to perform the various roles of marketing practitioners.

This programme will offer the opportunity to specialise in a popular subject area whilst simultaneously learning about a broader subject area.
