Muntasir Shami has 4 years of experience in business analysis and consulting as well as in marketing. He has worked in the telecoms industry in his home country Sudan (in project management and business analysis). In his capacity as Regional Sales Manager, Muntasir conducted empirical research on market trends and consumer behaviour to formulate evidence based sales policy.
Muntasir is currently developing an understanding of Lean ideology following his appointment as “Lean Construction Consultant” on a 600 million pound collaborative construction rail project in Birmingham. His work involves giving strategic advice in relation to the implementation of initiatives and process reforms that will lead to delivery improvements (in terms of time, cost and waste management and human resources capacity building and development). Muntasir started his PhD research at BBS in 2013, and his research is supervised by Dr. Yufeng Zhang and Professor John Bryson.
