Nishat has lectured at the University of Birmingham for over ten years teaching management accounting, financial accounting, accounting, information systems for accountants, critical skills and professional Ethics.

Previously she worked in both industry and practice. She is Director of the Executive MBA,  Member of School Admissions Committee, a Member of College Misconduct Committee and  Treasurer UK & Ireland UN PRME Chapter of which Birmingham Business School is a member of.
