TAP dinner at Speaker's House

Posted on Tuesday 1st May 2012

On 7th March, Professor Charles Craddock and Nicola Fenwick attended a dinner hosted by Alastair Campbell and the Rt. Hon John Bercow MP to raise awareness of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research’s (LLR) Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP). The event was held in the stunning surroundings of Speaker’s House within the Houses of Parliament and it was a privilege to be invited along with 20 other members of the national clinical research community.

The dinner provided an excellent opportunity to discuss and promote TAP, and other research which the LLR are conducting, with political and policy stakeholders and leading figures in the health research community. Discussions were very positive and, it was very exciting for both Professor Craddock and Nicola to represent the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit at the University of Birmingham at such an event.
