Over the last three years, expenditure of over £2 million has allowed the purchase of new instrumentation and the refurbishment and redevelopment of facilities for research and teaching. This has been accompanied by the creation of 15 new staff positions.
The increased research strength of the School of Chemistry has been recognized by the Research Councils, who have given substantial support for research in the School in the last few years. With the facilities and opportunities available to researchers within the school, we can make real contributions to tackling the scientific challenges that face chemists today.
Research within the school is grouped into three research themes. Please follow the links below for more details on each theme and the researchers working within them.
