Conference Aims 

The Association of Civil Engineering Departments exist to promote excellence in the teaching of Civil Engineering students and to provide a forum for the debate of important issues. The 2013 Annual Conference will allow delegates to discuss matters of current interest presented by speakers from a range of organisations in education and industry.

Venue

 

The 2013 conference is being hosted by the School of Civil Engineering, University of Birmingham. The venue is Hornton Grange part of the University Conference Park. Accommodation for the conference at the conference park site has been reserved and will be held until mid September. Please follow the instructions under the accommodation tab. The conference dinner on the 24th of October will be held at Hornton Grange and this is included in the registration fees. 

Registration 

Please go to the registration section and complete the registration through the online shop. Following ACED’s trail of a reduced double registration fee, this is available again this year to encourage wider attendance from Departments/Schools. Single registration is £170, while double is £240. 

Please remember to book your accommodation separately from the accommodation section.

Registration

Registration for the ACED 2013 Conference is now open. Single registration costs £170. As in previous years a second registration from the same Department is offered at the reduce rate of £70 to encourage more colleagues to participate in the Conference.

The registration includes attendance at all sessions and dinner on the evening of the 24th, which is at the Conference Park.

Accommodation

ACED has reserved a number of rooms on site at the University of Birmingham Conference Park. Those are very convenient as they are close to the Conference venue and cost £60 per night for a single room including breakfast.
