Prathan Rungthonkit, a PhD research student under the supervision of Dr Jimmy Yang, has won the Institution of Structural Engineers, Midland Counties Branch, Regional Structural Engineering Awards (2011) through his research on "Behaviour of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) under combined axial and transverse loadings".
