Thomas Addison is a part-time Clinical Lecturer at the School of Dentistry, responsible for the teaching of dental students during patient treatment sessions. On other days he works as a General Dental Practitioner in a well established family practice in South Birmingham.
Thomas Addison qualified in 1999 from the University of Birmingham with Distinction in Clinical Dentistry and worked initially as a GDP in Kidderminster, before moving back to the family business in south Birmingham since 2001.
He has been committed to furthering his academic and clinical skills with higher qualifications being the first person to attain the MSc in General Dental Practice from the University of Birmingham. This was awarded with Distinction in 2006. More recently he has achieved higher diplomas from the University of Bristol and the highest general practice award form the Royal College of Surgeons, the Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners.
He is an experienced practitioner and clinical lecturer, utilising the knowledge gained from the above qualifications, and from prestigious speakers on courses and conferences, here and overseas.
