Drama performance

Adam Ledger has been escaping the cold of the West Midlands and establishing links in India. Adam visited Mumbai just before Christmas where he met local theatre practitioners as part of his developing research. He then went on to the FLAME institute (the Foundation for Liberal and Management Education), Pune, to meet staff and teach. Adam led a workshop on contemporary British theatre with FLAME students.

Adam was in Mumbai again from 6-12 February to lead a project on ‘intimate theatre’ for the prestigious Kala Ghoda Festival. This develops his recent practice as research on intimate, participatory performance for family audiences with The Bone Ensemble, including Caravania! (in collaboration with mac birmingham and the Birmingham Hippodrome, and supported by Arts Council England).

Adam has just been awarded a further Arts Council England grant to support the national tour of Caravania! this year, and to develop a further piece, Igloo.
