Harriet works for Kirklees Council as a one-to-one SEN teaching assistant at a school and an assistant group leader for out of school clubs for children with complex and profound disabilities.

Jean-Yves has experienced two very different placement schools and enjoys working as a team with his mentors. He says that there are times when he feels "it is like being on an emotional rollercoaster, but there is always great support from the course tutors."

Jemma is a Specialist Leader in Education at a school in Worcestershire. In 2015 she won a Pearson Teaching Award and also appeared in a national television campaign promoting the benefits of a career in teaching.

Kali is now working in a school in London and hopes to continue teaching in the UK for the next three years. She then hopes to teach abroad for a year in America and then return to the UK to continue working in a comprehensive secondary school.

Sarah now works as Head of Science in New College Worcester (a special school for blind and visually impaired young people aged 11 – 19 years). She was one of only two people nationally awarded the Walter Hines Page Scholarship and as for this she visited Perkins School for the Blind in Massachusetts.
