Once you have passed their your teacher education course and successfully passed your induction year, you may apply to study for a Masters in Teaching Studies. You will need a satisfactory reference from your university tutor in order to apply and pay the tuition fee which will be £1,710 for Home/EU and £4,400 for Overseas (2013-2014).
This is an opportunity to further develop your understanding of educational issues based on practical experience, and can significantly enhance your career prospects as well as support your professional development.
Students will gain 60 credits at masters level through the completion of a 15,000 word dissertation. You will be given support and guidance, including three face-to-face Saturday morning sessions at the University in the autumn term to learn how to carry out a research project, and you will be allocated a personal tutor to help you complete your dissertation over the academic year.
