Research Topic

Education and inclusion for children with autism in Palestine

Research Summary

I am looking at the education of children on the autism spectrum in Palestine, where autism is a relatively new area of interest. My research includes a case study with an action research dimension, working with teachers in two schools to explore ways of developing inclusive practice for children with autism. I am also investigating current perceptions and practices across a range of centres in the region. With this research I believe there is an opportunity to offer something that will make a significant contribution to good autism practice in Palestine.
