International Collaboration In 'International Collaboration' International Collaboration Back to 'International Students' The School of Education is part of the College of Social Sciences which has extensive links with universities and other strategic partners throughout the world. The University of Birmingham is a founding member of Universitas 21, the prestigious consortium of global research-led universities, which promotes international collaboration among its 23 member institutions across 13 countries. Through our network of global partnerships, we engage in a wide range of activities including staff and student exchange and collaboration in research and teaching. In addition to our partnerships with international universities and research institutes, we participate in a number of strategic networks with a variety of organisations and establishments. These range from the National Institute for Health and Welfare in Finland, the European Parliament in Brussels and the British Council in Spain to various NGOs, think tanks, political parties and civil society associations in Palestine and Egypt.
