Environmental Geoscience Project

Description

The student will conduct fieldwork during the vacation before the start of Stage 3. The data collected in the field will be analysed during Semester 1.

During Semester 1, each student will give an oral presentation of their work to the rest of the group. A report on the project will be submitted in Semester 2.

Exceptionally, laboratory rather than field based projects may be substituted where appropriate.

Delivery

• There is no timetabled contact time with teaching staff but each student will have an academic advisor (from ESCM 234) for support who should be consulted regularly throughout Year 3
• 30 days of independent fieldwork

Assessment

• Project report (90%)
• Oral presentation (10%)
