The Birmingham Institute of Forest Research (BIFoR) has been shortlisted for an award for its innovative FACE facility by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The Free Air Carbon Dioxide Enrichment (FACE) facility is shortlisted for two categories for the RICS Awards 2017, West Midlands: Design through Innovation and Infrastructure

In addition, the BIFoR FACE Technical team have been shortlisted for an award at the Higher Education Technician Summit Papin Prize as finalists in the category of best Technical Team - a technical team who have worked together to deliver excellence.

Dr Kris Hart, the FACE Operations Manager, will be representing the University at both the RICS awards ceremony, to be held at the Warwickshire County Cricket Club on May 18 2017, and the Papin Prize award event, to be held at the University of Warwick on May 31 2017.
