Why did you choose to study at the University of Birmingham?

I chose University of Birmingham because it has a long tradition of academic excellence and a good reputation of caring for and supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students. After browsing on the Internet I found that the University of Birmingham is well-known for quality teaching and on-going research activities and has one of the largest international student communities in the UK.

Where did you previously study? How does studying at Birmingham differ from where you have previously studied?

I did my undergraduate degree in Pakistan. The method of teaching here is different and study mostly based on independent work including practical work which I found more effective.

My lecturers are very cooperative and they help me in every field. I received help and assistance from the moment I first got in touch with the University to enquire about the course through to when I finally arrived at Birmingham – this gave me a very positive impression of the University.

I love to live in Birmingham because Birmingham is a harmonious city which is good for studying and living. It’s a beautiful place to visit and I really feel like it is my home away from home. The warm welcoming culture of the people around and the structure of everything is so perfect.
