Title of PhD: Suspended sediment pollution events in urban rivers
Supervisors: Dr Damian Lawler and Dr David Hannah
Isaac Albert Aidoo is undertaking doctoral research into suspended sediment pollution in urban rivers during and between events for their effect on aquatic life and human health, by assessing their sources, dynamics and properties.
He is using Excel graphs and basic statistics for analysing both primary and secondary, 15 – minute resolution data obtained through automatic power sampling, on rainfall, river flow and six water quality parameters from three monitoring stations (two on, and one a tributary of the Tame) within River Tame catchment, the most urbanised in the UK.
