Tess Osborne is a human geographer interested in the emotional experience of urban environments. Her ESRC funded doctoral research uses an innovative set of methods, including wearable video and bio-sensing equipment, to investigate how urban environments shape people’s emotional wellbeing.

Tess Osborne achieved an undergraduate Masters degree at the University of Birmingham in 2015.

Tess Osborne is a filmmaker who has worked for film production companies in London and the West Midlands. She is the secretary for the Bodies, Landscapes and Materialities research group at the University of Birmingham and assists on undergraduate fieldwork trips to Ironbridge and Berlin.
