Title of PhD: Biogeography of the Late Eocene-Early Oligocene Nannofossils Assemblages
Supervisors: Dr Tom Dunkley Jones and Dr Ian Boomer
Sufiah is currently studying the climate changes during the late Eocene-early Oligocene (EOT boundary) of the Mossy Grove core, Mississippi. She is working on a calcareous nannofossils stuff to integrate the data from nannofossils to identify the EOT boundary as well as the paleotemperature , sea cooling response and productivity of coccolithophores.
MSc Petroleum Geology - University of Malaya ( Malaysia) - 2011
BSc Geology - National University of Malaysia (Malaysia) - 2009
Sufiah completed her first degree in Geology which majoring in Petroleum from National University of Malaysia, and furthered her masters in Petroleum Geology from University of Malaya. Currently, she is working with University Malaysia Kelantan and on her leave to pursue her doctorate study.
