I am currently a CENTA doctoral researcher, here at the University of Birmingham. My research focuses on diversity changes in calcareous nannoplankton communities at low latitude assemblages through the Palaeogene and Neogene periods. Additionally, I am looking into coccolithophore evolution during these intervals and how and why climate changes through specific intervals play such vast effects on nannofossils communities, such as, the effects of increased carbon dioxide.

Biography

I studied BSc Palaeontology at the University of Portsmouth and graduated in 2015. It was here that I found my keen interest in micropalaeontology. Soon after, I completed my Masters in Applied and Petroleum Micropalaeontology at the University of Birmingham in 2016. My main research focus was on diversity and ecological changes seen within calcareous Nannoplankton of the Eocene Oligocene Boundary at a well preserved low latitude assemblage.
