In the latest Guardian University Guide 2016 the School of Government and Society performed well with Sociology ranked 6th out of 87 institutions. The University of Birmingham was ranked 17th out of 119 institutions surveyed.

Skopje Honours Its Daughter Mother Teresa

Dr G√ęzim Alpion was a keynote speaker at the symposium "Skopje Honours Its Daughter Mother Teresa", which took place in Skopje on 12 September 2015. The event which was attended by Mother Teresa scholars from the United Kingdom, Albania, Kosova, and Macedonia, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Skopje, politicians, religious personalities, and media representatives, was covered widely in the Balkans and generated a number of articles in India and the UK.
