IDD Lecturer awarded Outstanding Teaching Award 2016-17 in the College of Social Sciences

The International Development Department (IDD) is pleased to announce that Willem Van Eekelen, a Part-time Visiting Lecturer in IDD, has been awarded the Outstanding Teaching Award for the College of Social Sciences 2016-17. Nominations are made for the award by students and a student panel then shortlists before the final panel makes the awards. Students nominating Willem said that "Willem has been a wonderful, knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic lecturer" and "he is an outstanding teacher that has bought a wealth of personal experience to every lecture. He allows us to think critically and engages all listeners.  Having a lecture with him makes you feel empowered and prepared for the future". Well done Willem! A fantastic recognition!

Congratulations to another IDD lecturer who made it to the shortlist – Jonathan Fisher! A great performance by IDD staff.
