'Global Social Justice', edited by Professor Heather Widdows (Department of Philosophy) and Dr Nicola Smith (Department of Political Science and International Studies), has just been published by Routledge.
This book provides a distinctive contribution to the growing debate about global justice and global ethics. It brings a multi-disciplinary voice which spans philosophical, political and social disciplines and emphasises the social element of global justice in both theory and practice. Setting the global social justice debate within the context of the broader global justice and global ethics debates, the book brings together established and respected authors in their fields who directly address issues including human rights, the environment, health, labour, peace-building and political participation and sexuality.
The book will be of interest to students and scholars of International Relations, Political Science, Philosophy (Global Ethics, Moral Philosophy, Political Philosophy); Environmental / Development Studies, Human Rights Law, Global Studies and Sociology.
