PhD International Political Economy (Manchester)

MA Research Pathway (International Political Economy) (Manchester)

Huw received his ESRC-funded PhD on European financial market integration at the University of Manchester. Following this he held an ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Nottingham before being appointed as a Hallsworth Fellow in Political Economy, again at the University of Manchester. He then held Lectureships in International and Comparative Political Economy before joining the University of Birmingham as a Lecturer in IPE in September 2013.

Huw's current research focuses on two big themes: UK and European banking reform following the global financial crisis; and depoliticisation and its relationship to the Eurozone debt crisis. He is Undergraduate Lead for the Political Economy programme, and Exchange Tutor for POLSIS.
