To mark the publication of this year’s Annual Review, a special State of the European Union roundtable was held at the American Political Science Association’s annual conference in Seattle. Three of the world’s leading experts on the EU, Vivien Schmidt (Boston University), Andrew Moravcsik (Princeton University) and Simon Hix (LSE) offered their diagnoses of what is wrong with the European Union and offered some prescriptions. The panel was organized and chaired by Tim Haughton.
