Since 2005 Lamisi has worked all over Ghana on various projects. With the Carter Center and Guinea Worm Eradication Programme she has been a key player in the eradication effort. Unicef and Creative Storm engaged Lamisi as the main spokesperson for Universal Salt Iodisation in Ghana.
Following her MA she worked in the private sector for a multinational company where she was responsible for its corporate social responsibility programme. She currently sits on the board of an NGO, Water in Africa Through Everyday Responsiveness (WATER) which as its name suggests provides water to deprived communities. Sustainability is also a key feature of WATER’s work. WATER's current project involves buruli ulcer endemic communities in Ghana.
