I passionately care about my role as a clinical skills tutor for health care students and I am always looking for different innovations that can be utilised for teaching students their practical skills/
This in the past has given me recognition in the form of the Head of Schools Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2007 which I shared with a physiotherapy colleague

Biography
I qualified as a R.G.N. in 1993 at Birmingham Heartlands hospital. After consolidating my training I went to accomplish my degree in Nursing and then onto a MA in Education in 2008.
I went on to become a specialised nurse in Wolverhampton splitting my time as a Clinical Skills Facilitator at Wolverhampton University which I undertook for 4 years following a period of extension and a Specialist Nurse in the Community
I then secured this post at Birmingham University as a Clinical Skills Tutor and now Lead Clinical Skills Tutor for Nursing and Common foundation Co- Coordinator.

I am member of the staff, student committee, learning resource committee and an active member of the admissions team. I also undertake internal moderation and marking for several modules.
