Amanda Farley (nee Parsons) has worked as a research fellow at the University of Birmingham since 2003. Her research has centred around treatment for and health effects of smoking cessation. More recently, she has been developing interests in the area of supportive care for cancer survivors.

David Fitzmaurice is Clinical Lead for Primary Care Clinical Sciences and Deputy Head of School for Health and Population Sciences.

His main area of research interest is cardiovascular disease, in particular thrombosis and haemostasis. He has published extensively in this area and represents Primary Care on many national and international bodies in this field

Mr Benjamin Fletcher

Ben joined Primary Care Clinical Sciences in October 2010 as a Research Associate on a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Research Methods Fellowship. The focus of the fellowship is on improving recruitment to controlled trials in primary care. A further aim of the project is to develop novel methodologies for use in the primary care research setting
