Gill Eveleigh is Head of Physiotherapy and Professional Lead for Physiotherapy in the School of Health and Population Sciences.
Her activities have a strong education focus. As well as delivery and assessment of learning and teaching across a range of levels, Gill has experience in new programme development, course evaluation and design and quality monitoring. She has been involved in a number of programme, subject and School quality reviews, both physiotherapy subject specific and across other subject areas.
Gill has a special interest in musculoskeletal dysfunction and practical anatomy, this is demonstrated through her teaching activities and work on systematic reviews on management of whiplash syndrome and rehabilitation following spinal fusion.

Gill Eveleigh qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1980. She worked clinically for a number of years in the UK, specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, before moving into physiotherapy education in 1988.
She has worked in a number of HEIs , with experience in all aspects of programme and module development, delivery, assessment and evaluation. This included development and successful validation of a Flexible (part time) BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy programme, as well as more traditional full time and MSc Pre and Post registration programmes.
For the last few years Gill has focussed on student support and the student experience and was Head of Student Development and Support for Physiotherapy and Nursing, prior to her current role. During this time interest was developed in supporting students with disabilities and also involvement in student mitigations and appeals processes.
Since November 2009 Gill has been Head of Physiotherapy/Professional Lead for Physiotherapy. As well as staff and workload management, this role involves liaison with external agencies, such as the Strategic Health Authority, Health Professions Council and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Gill is on the External Examiner accredited list of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and is involved in programme accreditation for the C.S.P.
