Description

When the Wind Blows (1986)

A British animated film depicting a nuclear attack made amid the resurgence of the Cold War and the activities of protest groups advocating nuclear disarmament. Introduced by Jamie Perry and followed by an informal discussion.

The History and Cultures Workshop provides opportunities for postgraduates to exchange ideas and perspectives within an informal environment. We welcome postgraduates and early career researchers who specialise in the study of history, cultures and area studies; emphasising a broad scope in both geographic and chronological terms. HCW aims to foster lively and stimulating debate, while taking advantage of Birmingham’s central location and excellent transport connections to encourage the networking of postgraduates.
