Marie Curie International Incoming Fellow: Eunice Apio

Posted on Thursday 25th October 2012

We would like to welcome Eunice Apio, who is here on a Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship.

Eunice comes to us from Uganda where she is currently the Executive Director of FAPAD (Facilitation for Peace and Development), a Ugandan NGO with the mission to promote human rights through community empowerment for protection of rights and realisation of sustainable livelihoods in Northern Uganda. She is also a part time lecturer at All Saints University, Lira, Uganda.

Whilst on her fellowship, two years of which will be spent here in Birmingham, Eunice will be working with Dr Sabine Lee, looking to develop an integrated theoretical social (re)integration framework for children born of war and their ex-combatant mothers in light of the unique but extreme challenges faced by these categories in contemporary African armed conflicts.
