BRIHC Materiality seminar series

How is our understanding of material culture shaped by our discipline or research focus? And what we can learn from discussing materiality in a broader context? This series seeks to address these questions: each week a different research centre takes to the stage to present a seminar in response to this broad theme.

Materiality is an open invitation for people to experience the range of regular research seminars that take place in the School of History and Cultures.  As our first cross-school seminar series, it is also intended as an intellectual meeting point for members of BRIHC working across disciplines, chronologies and geographies.

All seminars are free and booking is not required. Please note the different times and rooms for the events.
