About

I am a Research fellow in advanced interactive systems and am affiliated with the Visual and Spatial Technology Centre. As a Computer Scientist, my work involves complex algorithms and data structures related to archaeological data and large-scale modelling and simulation of terrestrial and marine landscapes.

Simon has Taught Courses on: Mathematics, Programming C++ and C#, Virtual Environments and Computer Graphics

Postgraduate supervision

Simon is currently supervising a PhD Student on the Computer tools for the reconstruction of cruciform tablets.

Research

Simon joined the institute of archaeology and antiquity  in September 2011 as a Research Fellow in Advanced interactive systems. Currently he is working investigating the software methods for Interactive Systems for archaeology and antiquity. In the past his research has been in mathematical analysis and display of 3D Point clouds, Interactive systems for planning radiotherapy treatment and in physics for virtual environments.
