Entrance requirements

2:1 in a UK Law degree or overseas equivalent, we will also consider students with a high 2:2 if supported by strong references.

We consider students with a 2:1 or equivalent from non-law backgrounds only if there is also substantial legal experience.
English language requirements
If your first language is not English you must provide an English language qualification. Recognised qualifications are:
IELTS:

7.0 with no less than 6.5 in any band
TOEFL:

Internet based test - 100 with no less than 23 in any band
If you need to improve your level of English in order to meet the minimum entry-level requirement you may be able attend one of the full-time courses run by our English for International Students Unit.

If you are accepted onto the taught LLM programmes, you need not decide which one to follow until you arrive in Birmingham and select the modules you wish to study.
