International students

Chinese Students at GraduationThe University of Birmingham boasts one of the largest international student communities in the UK and many of those students can be found in the Law School. The mix of people, nationalities and cultures within the School greatly enriches our learning and teaching environment, ensuring that our students benefit from the experience that studying at the University of Birmingham has to offer.

I decided to come and study at the University of Birmingham because it is known as one of the top law schools in the UK, a country with a long established reputation of excellent education. (Thao Nguyen, LLM, 2009-10)

International student support

When choosing to study at the University of Birmingham you can be assured that you will have access to all the necessary support services to make your time here fun and enjoyable, as well as educational. The services on offer range from International Welcome week through to free English language classes and our dedicated International Students Advisory Service

All members of Law academic staff have office hours set aside each week for students to approach them on a 1-1 basis, meaning that they are always available if you need further clarification or assistance with your studies. Upon arrival students will be allocated a personal tutor who will be the main point of contact for any welfare or academic issues that may arise during the year.
