FLAG provides an advice only service and we offer assistance in a variety of fields, including:

  • Family and divorce law
  • Wills and Probate
  • Employment
  • Mental health and mental capacity issues
  • Clinical negligence
  • Bankruptcy/insolvency
  • Civil litigation
  • Contract law
  • Company law
  • Data protection

NB: We are unable to help with matters involving Criminal Law or Immigration and Asylum

Once we receive your enquiry, a member of the FLAG team will contact you by telephone for further details of your case. Please note that we receive a large volume of queries and therefore there may be a delay in us contacting you.  If we try to contact you on three occasions and are unable to reach you then your matter will be closed and we will not try to contact you again.  For reasons of confidentiality, our volunteers will not leave you a voicemail.

If your enquiry is urgent then you should seek legal advice elsewhere.  Please note that in some circumstances your may only have a limited time to commence a claim at court or tribunal. If you are unsure of these deadlines then you should contact another organisation for advice. You will find details of alternative sources of free legal advice via the link below. Our Appointments

Pre-booked appointments are held during term time, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 5.00–7.00pm, in the Law School at the University of Birmingham.
