About

Jenny Papettas teaches Tort Law, Contract Law and Legal Foundations of the European Union on the undergraduate programmes at Birmingham and has recently completed doctoral research in the area of Conflict of Laws, looking specifically at issues of choice of law for Cross Border Road Traffic Accidents

Biography

Jenny undertook undergraduate studies in law at the University of Birmingham from 2001 - 2004. After graduating she took up a position at Irwin Mitchell in Birmingham as a fee earner in International Travel Litigation, eventually leaving to take up a post teaching law to sixth form students. Jenny returned to the University of Birmingham in 2009 as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant. As a PTA Jenny taught on both the Public Law and Tort Law Undergraduate modules and also assisted in the teaching of the LLM module in Commercial Conflict of Laws. Jenny has recently completed research for a PhD thesis in the area of Conflict of Laws, looking specifically at issues of choice of law for Cross Border Road Traffic Accidents.

This year Jenny remains at Birmingham as a Teaching Associate teaching Tort law, Contract Law and Legal Foundations of the European Union. She is continuing with her research in the areas of Conflict of Laws and Motor Insurance.
