Natalia Perova completed her LLM degree in International Law with international relations and PG Certificate in Public International Law at the University of Kent at Brussels, Belgium. She also holds a LLB from University of London and a Master’s degree in International Journalism from the Moscow State University of International Relations. She completed several internships in human rights NGOs and the United Nations. Natalia teaches Legal Foundations of the European Union and Criminal law modules and is conducting research for a PhD thesis in the areas of public international law, international humanitarian law, criminal law and human rights law.

Natalia researches public international law, international human rights law, international humanitarian law and international criminal law. Her PhD thesis focuses on the UN, state and individual responsibility for the violations of international law committed during UN peace support operations. Her research interests also lie in European human rights law, international and European migration law, comparative constitutional law and domestic criminal law.
