Linden joined Birmingham Law School in September 2013.  As supervising solicitor she is responsible for coordinating the School's pro bono programme, which includes the Birmingham Free Legal Advice Group, the SIFA Fireside Clinic, the Birmingham Environmental Law Foundation Clinic and many other projects.
In April 2014 Linden also took on the role of Manager of the Centre for Professional Legal Education and Research (CEPLER).  She is responsible for overseeing CEPLER's diverse range of activity and its links with the legal profession.
Linden also teaches on the LLB programme and undertakes research into clinical legal education and pro bono and corporate social responsibility in law firms.

Linden qualified as a solicitor specialising in employment law at Martineau (now Shakespeare Martineau) in 2011.  She is experienced in advising on all aspects of employment law, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, breach of contract and whistleblowing, acting in both contentious and non-contentious matters.  During her first 15 months with the University, Linden divided her time between working as the University’s employment solicitor in the in-house legal team and her role as solicitor in the Law School.  She joined the Law School full time in November 2014.
As a trainee solicitor Linden was Chair of the Birmingham Trainee Solicitors’ Society.  In 2010 she was awarded Martineau's 'Inspirational Young Lawyer of the Year' Award and in 2011, she won the Birmingham Law Society award for Trainee Solicitor of the Year.

Linden is committed to pro bono work.  She is Chair of Birmingham Law Society’s Pro Bono committee, is a Trustee and Vice Chair of the Board for Birmingham Citizens Advice Bureau and also chairs the Bureau’s HR committee.

Other activities

Linden sits on Birmingham Law Society Council, which is the Society’s decision making body. She also became a Director of Birmingham Law Society in April 2014.
