Hear from some of our most successful Modern Languages graduates as they discuss their careers since leaving Birmingham and their top tips for success as well as how their language skills have helped them to progress. There will also be an opportunity for questions.

Fiona has had an extensive career as civil servant, holding numerous senior level political positions.

Fiona is currently the Director of Transformation within the Home Office. She is responsible for financial and commercial procurement and professional outsourcing within the UK Home Office.

She began her career within academia, working as a Research Associate at King's College London, before entering political roles in numerous governmental bodies. These positions included acting as Secretary to Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Immigration and as Head of several offices including Human Resources and Equality Unit and the Mental Health Unit.
