Simon Halsey leads the University Chorus in a performance of one of the cornerstones of the chorus and orchestra repertory, Mozart’s final work, the Requiem Mass. In contrast the Philharmonic Orchestra perform Copland’s popular Appalachian Spring and Mahler’s Blumine, a work originally penned in 1884, considered by many to be a gesture of love from the composer to Johanna Richter.
