My Ph.D research, begun in January 2010, is focused on creating a variety of computer based musical works, utilising various means of new software based technology. Some of the music which I have written as part of my research has been for performance over loudspeakers, particularly the BEAST system at the University. I am also very active as a laptop performer, with both the departmental laptop ensemble BEER and as a soloist. I am an active SuperCollider user (a program language for audio synthesis) and have been using it to create solo live coding laptop performances as part of my research.
I am currently a postgraduate teaching associate within the Department of Music.
