New grants awarded to staff in the School

Alan Wing and colleagues awarded £2350 NIHR Stroke Research Network grant

Alan Wing, Trudy Pelton, Jane Riddoch and Michael Grey awarded £2350 by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Stroke Research Network (SRN) to hold a grant writing workshop for NIHR grant. The grant application will propose a multicentre RCT investigating peripheral electrical stimulation in sensorimotor rehabilitation of hand and arm coordination after stroke.

Sarah Beck awarded £2000 from the Experimental Psychology Society to research "The Development of the Illusion of Control"

Sarah will be researching children's thinking about the difference between events caused by chance and those that are under human control, hoping to gain a better understanding of children's developing understanding of causality and agency.
