Dr Suzanne Higgs has been named President Elect of the Society for the Study of Ingestive Behavior.

The society is an international group for research into all aspects of eating and drinking.

It is devoted to advancing scientific research on food and fluid intake and associated biological, psychological and social processes.

Suzanne teaches a level 3 module on the psychology of eating and is the Head of Education in Psychology.

Her research interests include psychobiological influences on appetite, particularly the role of learning and memory in eating behaviour and drug taking and the role of these factors in the development of obesity and drug addiction.
