Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology (major in Psychology) University of Ioannina, Greece M.Ed. in Special Educational Needs (Autism in pupils), School of Education, University of Birmingham Biography Efthalia Karakatsani has first class BSc in Psychology from the University of Ioannina Greece (2009), and M.Ed in Special Educational Needs (Autism in pupils) from the University of Birmingham, School of Education (2011). She has been trained in several clinical settings for children with neurodevelopmental disorders and additional mental health issues in Greece and she has four years of experience in teaching, and volunteering in a range of settings and organizations for children with autism and their families in England and Greece. On April 2010 she awarded full time studentship from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Y.) She is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society. Research I am interested to investigate the family and child characteristics of children who are at the highest risk for developing challenging behaviour.
