In September 2015 I started my PhD under supervision of Ali Mazaheri. Ali is well known for his work on alpha oscillations. In my PhD project we are extending the knowledge of alpha oscillations in particular in relation to time perception. In addition, my project focuses on the relationship between ERPs and oscillatory activity.

Qualifications

  • Programming in Matlab (PsychToolbox, FieldTrip, EEGlab)
  • EEG data acquisition

Biography

Previously, I studied Psychobiology at the University of Amsterdam, which I followed up with a two-year Research Master in Brain and Cognitive Science (track: Cognitive Neuroscience) at the same university. I hold an Honours Program in addition to my Bachelor. During my studies I had the chance to do internships at the Clinical Neurophysiology department of the Free University of Amsterdam, the Donders Institute for Brain and Cognition in Nijmegen and at the Psychology department of the University of Amsterdam.
